Delete your Book For Look account

This page explains how to delete your account for Book For Look: Beauty & Care and Book For Look Business, both published by BUZMASOL PVT LTD, and what happens to your data when you do.

Delete your account in the app

If you book appointments, use Book For Look: Beauty & Care. If you run a salon or take bookings, use Book For Look Business — the steps differ slightly and both are below.

Book For Look: Beauty & Care (customers)

1. Open Book For Look: Beauty & Care and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Read the summary, then tap Delete my account and confirm.

You will be asked to confirm your password, or a code sent to your phone — a signed-in session alone is not enough to delete an account.

You then have 30 days to change your mind. Nothing is erased during that time: sign in and choose Cancel deletion and your account carries on as before. We will remind you a few days before the date. After it passes, the deletion is carried out and cannot be reversed.

Book For Look Business (salons and providers)

1. Open Book For Look Business and sign in.
2. Go to the Account tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Read the summary, then tap Delete my account and confirm.

Deleting closes your business listing straight away, so it stops taking bookings while you decide — if you cancel within the 30 days, it reopens automatically. If the business still has upcoming appointments, or earnings we have not paid out, the app will offer Request account deletion instead — that sends it to our support team, who settle those and close the account for you. You do not need to email anyone; the app shows a reference number you can track under Help & support.

If you can't use the app

Email support@bookforlook.com from the email address on your account, or include the phone number you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before deleting anything.

Before you delete

Deletion is blocked while any of these are true, so that nobody is left stranded mid-appointment:

• You have upcoming or in-progress bookings. Cancel or complete them first.
• You have upcoming appointments assigned to you as a staff member. Contact the business first.
• Your business still has upcoming bookings, or earnings we have not paid out yet. The app will offer Request account deletion so our support team can settle those and close the business for you. If your business has neither, deletion goes through straight away and the listing is closed automatically.

What is deleted

Once the 30 days are up and the deletion goes through, these are erased or irreversibly anonymised:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• Your password
• Your gender, date of birth and profile photo
• Photos you uploaded, including review photos and support attachments
• All sign-in sessions and notification tokens for your devices, so no further notifications are sent

Your phone number is released at the same time, so you can sign up again later with the same number if you want to. Nothing in this list is touched before then — if you cancel within the 30 days, all of it stays exactly as it was.

What is kept

Records of past activity remain, but they no longer identify you — your name is replaced with “Deleted user” and your contact details are gone:

• Completed and cancelled bookings. These are also the business's own records, and removing them would alter their history and earnings.
• Reviews you wrote. These stay published, attributed to “Deleted user”, so other customers keep the ratings they rely on.
• Payment and transaction records, retained to meet accounting and tax obligations.

Anonymised records are kept for as long as the business needs them for its own accounting and legal obligations. They cannot be linked back to you once your account is deleted.
